FOCUS ON THE UNREACHED
Our Converge ministry family has the vision of “Asking God for a Gospel Movement among Every Least-reached People Group – in Our Generation.” Last month in Denver we had a massive missions conference with 83 of the Converge missionaries present along with other Converge church leaders and members. So many encouraging stories of the progress of the gospel around the world as John attended the Leaders’ Summit standing in for our Asia Impact Team.
On Tuesday June 21st John, Phu Pham, and Mark Boggess twice presented a seminar on our Asia Impact Team’s purpose and strategy along with sharing encouraging ministry stories.
Our ministry trip to Asia in May helped the Asia Impact Team move toward our goal to “equip local leaders to catch and fulfill a vision for a gospel movement among least-reached people groups in Asia.” Our current approaches are:
1. Striving towards gospel movements among the 5,627 Unreached People Groups in Asia that include over 2.8 billion people.
2. Cultivating connections with over 70 key movement leaders throughout 21 countries and harvesting our global and regional connections.
3. Pursuing the best opportunities to equip and inspire leaders among regional, national, and local networks for strategic collaboration of multiplying disciples, leaders, and churches.
At these meetings we made many new connections and rekindled old ones. At least two new ministry opportunities were birthed (more later).
