We are very thankful to God that a Christian relief organization based here in Japan was able to make great progress today. Christian Relief, Assistance, Support and Hope (CRASH) is a network supporting Christians to do relief work in Japan and around the world. CRASH equips and prepares churches and missions to be there to help their communities when disasters strike and coordinates Christian volunteers to work with local ministries in the event of a disaster. Crash sent four advanced teams on Monday into the affected areas to determine needs and bring supplies (see http://www.gospelrest.com/crash/ for more details).
We have been following the reports from one CRASH advanced team where 3 men took a 2 ton truck into Iwaki City Fukushima Prefecture early this morning and dropped off supplies of gasoline, kerosene, water, food and other supplies for the Iwaki Christ Church. The supplies were left at a local school ground then they left for their home base in Chiba. While scouting other churches on the return trip they experienced a 6.2 magnitude aftershock.
