FINANCIAL SUPPORT UPDATE

We arrived from Japan in March with 100% of our monthly support. Since that time the dollar has been hard hit in the international currency markets dropping from nearly 120 yen to the dollar to now 100 to the dollar, meaning a loss of about 15%.  We will need an increase of special gifts and monthly giving to make up this difference. Pray about our support situation. We will not be allowed to return to…

Unreached Peoples

Looking to finish the task of the Great Commission, mission experts have identified over 6,600 unreached people groups (UPG) in the world. UPGs are defined as any group less than 2% Christian. Practically they need outside help to complete the evangelization among their people. There are also unengaged unreached people groups (UUPG) with over 1,200 groups that have no known Christians and no missionaries working with them. Our mission focus must be on these peoples.…

John finished his work on church planting in Japan. All three are at the editors and proofreaders for the next step. Pray for blessing on this next step. God has been so good. Our second Colorado trip has been rewarding seeing old friends and being encouraged. But…

We are very proud of each of our partnering churches because their mission commitment is not just “pray and pay”…

Where the Other Half Lives

Our ministry in Japan is within the most populated parts of the world. Take a look at Asia: India, China, Indonesia, SE Asia. The map above shows the distribution of the world’s population. Half of humanity lives in the black space and the other half in the yellow. It’s a stunning illustration of the degree to which people are concentrated in certain urban centers, particularly in Asia, where the majority of the global population lives.from https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2016/01/21/this-amazing-map-shows-where-most-of-humanity-lives/
