Thank God and pray as John just completed another Reaching Japanese for Christ (RJC) course on John’s first book on church multiplication. He will teach both his books again beginning in April with RJC. We are both adding more people to mentor, teach, and meet with online. Both Elaine and John have entered a new stage in life. After over 35 years employed by the Baptist General Conference and Converge, Elaine is officially retired. She plans to continue her current ministries as a volunteer without the required reports. John is not retiring but now officially working for Converge Asia Impact Team. A few weeks ago, we asked you to pray for two simultaneous online meetings. For the first time the Converge Asia Conference was held on October 12-15. Along with global workers on all Asian fields, there were home office personnel, and John’s new Asia Impact Team members. John met many new people and developed some new friendships for partnering for Asian gospel movements in the future. The Japan Church Multiplication Vision Festa 2020…
Japan CPI is holding their first Japanese Grace Week Online throughout November. John is serving as a mentor and group facilitator. Pray for the impact on the 80 registrants. John and Elaine continue in their mentoring, Bible studies, and meetings with people online. John wraps up this month his RJC course on Starting and Developing Churches in Japan.
Yes, we are in the midst of a global pandemic and the US general election is just weeks away, but in addition Elaine and John have anticipated some events over the next few weeks which effect the Kingdom of God. Updates from Japan – Japan has now opened to allow some missionaries to return to Japan. We know many missionaries that have “been stuck” waiting to return. We heard that churches are doing well practicing good health procedures (only one small church had any cases of Covid). Covid rates are now spiking again in Tokyo.
