CPI Gospel Renewal Training Month canceled due to the earthquake. On March 11th at 2:26pm Stu and Ruth Ann Batstones, our speakers for the month, were inbound to land at Narita airport at about 5pm. Maybe the situation in Machida, Tokyo continues to improve. Traffic is better as workers arriving today said it took less than yesterday. There is gasoline but you have to wait in lines over one mile long. The city hall made an announcement that we could be without power for rolling outage. Later they announced it was canceled. OUR NEIGHBORHOOD’S SITUATION

Today Elaine went out through the neighborhood. Later we both went out through our neighborhood to prayer walk, talk to people, and scout out the effects of the greatest earthquake to hit our area. The Earthquakes Local Affects

We are 240 miles from the epicenter and our area sustained little damage but we are very much affected here in Machida-city Tokyo. Tokyo has only sustained 6 deaths, our neighboring prefecture (state) Kanagawa has had only 3 deaths. Farther north in the Tokyo area, Chiba prefecture has had 15 deaths, Ibaraki has had 19 deaths. Rolling Power Blackouts

We found out tonight that the Prime Minister of Japan has made an announcement that throughout the Tokyo area there will be rolling electrical blackouts to prevent a total blackout throughout the region.
