PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY
1. The greatest crisis for Japan right now is controlling those nuclear reactors. Please pray for those making decisions, those implementing operations, and for divine intervention in a potential environmental tragedy. For a country that has already gone through the human catastrophes of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a highly sensitive issue this would be too much for everyone to bear. Pray that it would be resolved quickly. http://www.gospelrest.com/pray-harder-for-gods-intervention/ http://www.gospelrest.com/a-pastors-prayer/
2. Praise God for those few found alive yesterday. One was a 4-month old baby. Keep praying!
3. Here we are still experiencing aftershocks, last evening there was a 6.0 magnitude quake south of us. These problems are magnified in the affected areas.
4. There are over 1.6 million homes without power. Pray that that suffering will end.
5. Tonight it will be very cold; they are expecting snow in the affected areas. These people have no heat and in many cases no electricity, with little food. Ask God to intervene in the weather.
6. The government is doing their best to keep the populace from panicking especially about possible radiation exposure. From the Japanese Emperor (http://www.japantoday.com/category/national/view/emperor-urges-nation-not-to-give-up), the Prime Minister, the Mayor of Tokyo on down they are appealing to the Japanese to not panic, hoard supplies, and cooperate with electrical and water conservation. So far I think it is working. Pray for the peace and shalom of God to cover the world’s largest city as well as the rest of Japan.
7. Continue to pray for the many teams cooperating with CRASH Love to Japan that are sending needed supplies and relief into the affected areas. Today we heard of a church in Nagoya that was planning to send two 2-tons trucks loaded with supplies up north. We have heard stories of people breaking out in tears when this relief came to them with bottled water. Pray for their safety and a quick trip to relieve those affected. These people are in a very desperate situation. See http://www.crosswalk.com/news/commentary/11647208/
8. Pray for spiritual needs of Japan, less than 1% of Japan is Christian. Many of them do not know the hope of the resurrection and eternal life. Pray they may know personally the God of the universe and his personal care for them.
9. A dear Japanese friend pastors a church in Iwaki City in Fukushima prefecture. They are directly adjacent to the area evacuated due the problems at the nuclear reactor. Pastor Akira Mori, and CPI Leadership Team member, asks prayer for these items:
a. The church (Global Mission Chapel) to seek the face of God and to know God’s mind in order to see His Kingdom expand in the city, the prefecture and the country.
b. Christians in Iwaki to be united in prayer and worship, thirsting for the Lord’s visitation.
c. The “remnant” of Iwaki will be protected from any harmful radio-active contamination.
