GOD ANSWERED
- John was in Seoul South Korea in late June where he met a key church planting trainer from the Exponential movement and networked with several others regarding church planting in East Asia (see below).
- Elaine’s progress on the latter stages of her three books (bible study, 2 devotions) is going very smoothly. Ask God to especially equip proofreaders and translators.
- Registrations have topped 220 already for Japan National CPI Conference, October 25-27. This month will be very busy as most will try to register before the discount deadline. Ask God to bless people interested in coming and for wisdom and strength for the staff to be able to keep up with the registration deluge.
- John’s book on church planting in Japan has entered the copyediting phase. We heard that Wm. Carey Library will likely be able to publish in time for the CPI Conference! Pray for all involved that progress would continue smoothly to allow the book to ready on time.
MEHNS ON US MINI TOUR
We will be visiting several churches and some ministry partners in July and August on a short update tour. Please pray for preparations to preach, our traveling, and that we may have great connections with people in these churches. Drop in if you are near!
July 23 – Springbrook Community Church – Huntley, IL.
July 30 – Berean Baptist Church – Mansfield, OH.
PRAYER PARTNER SPOTLIGHTS
- Pray for Elaine’s classes and John’s responsibilities this month in the midst of the heat and humidity.
- We will be in the US for part of July and August, preaching in churches, visiting dentists & doctors, and spending time with our children and grandchildren. Elaine will have a family reunion. Pray for rest and a good balance of family and work time.
- In September, the East Asia regional group of Global Church Planting Network will gather in the Kansai area for network meeting. Teams will be coming from Mongolia, South Korea, Taiwan, and possibly China to plan church multiplication strategies for our respective countries. Ask God to bless the development of a dream team for Japan of 6-10 key national leaders.
